Change IS Good
It seems that many of us spend most of our lives fighting change. We take the same route everyday to work. We eat the same food. We follow the same routine every day. We talk to the same people all the time. We love what we know. We love that feeling of safety. That comfort zone is an easy place to be in. My wife and I have not been strangers to the concept of change in the last several years, but it is still easy to get into that comfort rut. Last night we decided to rearrange the living and dining room(s). We felt like it was time for a change. But then there are those of us that are like our dog. We don’t like things moved around at all and we wear ourselves out completely stressing out about it all. We like to live our same ol’ same ol’ lives.
But God calls us to something different. He calls us to reach out to the person that is different than we are. He calls us to lay down our cares and desires in order to be used by Him. He calls us to a life of change. We need to learn to flow with the change. Embrace the change. Embrace the uncertainty. Embrace the fact that He is in control. Change is good!

It was pretty cute to see Jack totally pass out on the couch when we finished rearranging. Poor guy was so stressed
You all were mean to that poor dog…..which actually might demonstrate how change can backfire at times. There are seasons of life where too much change can be harmful particularly with kids. They do better usually with stability of family, friends, church, etc. They don’t do well when parents bail out on them. I realize that is not the change you mean.
Yes, at times change is good as we have enjoyed, it just took us a while to get there. I would say God calls us to honor Him in what we do whether it involves change or not. We need to be willing to change when He leads that way or opens the door and not be fearful of it. Good thoughts from you as usual….
